General RulesIf you plan on visiting Skaneateles Country Club, we would like you to feel comfortable by knowing in advance some of our particulars. Please check in with the security staff upon entering the property.
Smoking: Smoking, including smoking of vapor cigarettes and cigars, is not permitted inside any Club facility or any outdoor dining and social area.
Pets: Pets are not allowed in any Club facility including the Waterfront Area, Point and Golf Course. If you are transporting your pet to a boat please make sure they are leashed or carried.
Cell Phones/Other Audible Electronic Devices: Except in the event of a health or personal safety emergency, the audible use of cell phones, electronic games or music devices for voice communications and other audible activities is prohibited in all dining areas -- including The Members Deck. Please step into the foyer to use your device. Usage is also prohibited on the golf course and tennis courts.
**Members and guests are expected to conduct and present themselves in a manner that properly respects Skaneateles Country Club.
Appropriate attire is business casual or proper golf and tennis attire. Pristine denim is allowed in the dining areas. Collared shirts are required and tee shirts are not allowed.
Short shorts and uncovered bathing suits are not acceptable within the Clubhouse at any time.
All males must remove hats while in all dining and bar areas.
Swim wear is not permitted anywhere on club premises except at the beach front, beach front bath facilities and locker rooms.
Exception will be allowed for medical reasons.
Golf Course Attire:
Men
The appropriate attire for all men golfers on the course or driving range includes tucked-in shirts with collars, regular or mock turtlenecks and proper golf shoes or golf sandals. Golf shorts may be worn if they have pockets and are no more than three inches above the knee. Caps and visors are to be worn with the brim forward.
Inappropriate attire includes shirts without collars or not tucked-in, cut-off shorts, short shorts, caps/visors with brim backwards, regular sandals and bare feet.
Blue jeans are permitted only during inclement weather up to May 15th and after October 15st.
Women
Inappropriate ladies’ attire includes cutoffs, T-shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, tennis shorts, tank tops, halter-tops, sweatshirts or mesh shirts, regular sandals and bare feet. Hats and visors are to be worn properly.
Note: These dress codes are applicable to all members, juniors, guests and caddies. Members are fully responsible to see that their guests adhere to these codes. If you have any questions please consult the Golf Shop.

Skaneateles Country Club is located at 3344 West Lake Rd, Skaneateles, NY 13152
From Syracuse and points East:
690 West to 695 to Rt. 5 West. Turn left on Rt. 321 to end. Turn right on Rt. 20 (downtown Skaneateles) and go through first traffic light. As you pass the north end of the lake on your left and the Sherwood Inn on your right you will approach the next intersection, which is West Lake Street. Turn left on West Lake Street and the club entrance is approximately 1 mile on the left. Clubhouse is at the end of the driveway.
From Rochester and points West:
Take Thruway east and exit at Geneva Exit 42. After toll, travel straight to Rt. 318. Take Rt. 318 to the end where it intersects with Rt. 5 &; 20. Turn left (east) on 5 &; 20 to Auburn (about 12 miles). Continue into the city of Auburn. Rt. 5 & 20 split at the intersection by the Inn at the Finger Lakes Hotel. Turn right at the hotel and get immediately into the left lane. (This is a one-way street). The very next intersection is Rt. 20. Turn left at the light. Continue on Rt. 20 for another 6 miles. As you enter the town of Skaneateles, go through flashing yellow light, to West Lake Street which is just BEFORE THE LAKE. Turn right on West Lake Street and the club entrance is approximately 1 mile on the left. Clubhouse is at the end of the driveway.
From North or South, via Route 81:
If traveling route 81 North from Cortland or South from Syracuse, exit at Lafayette exit. Take Rt. 20 West to Skaneateles, approximately 18 miles. Go through three traffic lights. At the forth intersection, the lake will be on your left and the Sherwood Inn on your right. Turn left Turn left on West Lake Street and the club entrance is approximately 1 mile on the left. Clubhouse is at the end of the driveway.
From Ithaca and points South West:
Rt. 34 North to Rt. 20 East. In Skaneateles, go through flashing yellow light, look for West Lake Street just BEFORE THE LAKE. Turn right on West Lake Street and the club entrance is approximately 1 mile on the left. Clubhouse is at the end of the driveway.
